Dear Mr Chu,
Thank you for your comment. I don't have any book on Taiwan.
All my information about the Hakkas in Taiwan was supplied by my
Taiwanese friend who was a high school teacher in Tainan, now retired
and is living in Australia.
He told me a lot about the Hakkas in Taiwan. He is not a Hakka, but
his ancestors once lived in Fujian province.
I have materials, in detail and in Chinese, about the 28th Febuary 1947
incident. Should this information is also not accurate I shall refrain
from posting them and other stories as well on Taiwan.
Occasionally my friend give me the newspaper, Zhong Yang or Central News
to read. I speak Mandarin and a bit of Taiyu so I have been befriended
by many Taiwanese. I am an ex-Malaysian and don't know much about
Taiwan.
Mr Chu, why don't you post the story of the Hakkas living in your
hometown. My hometown in Malaysia is a Hakka town which I am writing
and it will take sometime to complete because there are so much to tell.
