In Singapore, the Cantonese do not refer to Johore Bahru as 'Xin Shan' in
Cantonese.
In fact, they do not use any Chinese equivalent for Johore Bahru in
Cantonese.
They always refer it to 'Johore Bahru' or 'J.B.' in short, unlike the
Hakkas or any Chinese referring it in Mandarin, ie 'Xin Shan'.
This is indeed strange.
