Carolynne,

Frankly, I don't watch much of John Wayne's movies. I just remember
certain parts of it. I would only use them as an example NOT to make such
white chauvinistic movies. All Chinese are portriated as ignorant,
selfish, disorganized. It takes someone like John Wayne as savior to save
"China". If the movie chose to use Hakka women costumes, it might be just
because they are exotic.
