Just an observation on a Tang Poem
This is a poem that I read when I was in primary school. I have forgotten
about the author and hopefully I have remembered the title correctly.
登 高 望
白 日 依 山 盡
黃 河 入 海 流
欲 窮 千 里 目
更 上 一層 樓
Take a close look at the last word of the second and the fourth sentences.
If you read that in Mandarin, they sound differently (liu2 vs lou2).
However, if you read that in Hakka, they are exactly the same (both as
liu).
