Most books on the Taiping Revolution described Wei Changhui as Hakka.
However, I came across one that says that he is from the Zhuang
nationality. I believe this is true.
For Xiao Chaogui, who is a brother-in-law of Hong Xiuquan, and who died
early during the Taiping Rebellion, there is also no mention of him being a
Hakka.
I came across one book that indicate clearly the counties and provinces of
where the Taiping leaders came from, except for Xiao and Wei.

So far, no book mention that he is a Hakka. I doubt he is one.

Still need to confirm this.

I came across a book by a Japanese on the Hakkas. In it, it speculated that
Li Ka Shing may be a Hakka, giving the reasoning that he came from
Chaozhou, a place where many Hakkas have migrated to. I do not think that
Li is a Hakka.

No idea.
