Re: Hakka names (fwd)

Dean,

I can think of the following names that could be typical of Hakka
women/girls:

For surnames :
Yong (Yang in mandarin, Yeung in Cantonese, "Aspen")
Li ( same pronunciation in mandarin, Lei in Cantonese)
Tsung (Zong in Mandarin, Chung in Cantonese)
Tsong (Zhang in mandarin, Cheung in Cantonese )

For given names:

Tiam Moi(sweet little sister)
Gim Lian (golden lily)
Siu Fah (pretty flower)

You can make your own combination.
