Subject: Hello> Hakka Malaysian in London
Hi.
I dipped into your web page and found very interesting pieces of
information about the Hakka Chinese and its apparent prominence in the
South East Asia.
Your message struck me that I was one of many Hakkas who understand the
language but know very little about it culturally.
Could you possibly recommend any books or articles on the history and
culture of the Hakka people, written in English.
Incidentally, there is an indigenous group of people in Thailand who say
they are "Hakka" and do not bathe except once a year. Are they any
relations of the Hakka CHinese?
