according to my bit of history of record.The "Lim" clan was  one of
eight main surname-clans of Northerners who migrated to the south
circa 317AD to 581 AD(The Sixteen Kingdoms of the Five Barbarians).
I am not too sure of the geographic descriptions you were mentioning,
but "Lung Kiang" sounds very Hakka, in fact, a lot of Hakka associations
use such words--"Lung Kong", which is similar.The "Lim's" might have
spreaded a bit more eastern as there are a lot of Chiuchew & Fukienese
people w/that surnames.Hope this tiny bit helps. Rgds,
