Up to date, po-do hakka radio station being collected about 28 millions
ntd at the moment. It has to be donated 2 millions to reach the target
amount to apply the license of government.
The deadline is on Dec., 10, 1996. It is expected to have nice ending
for this donation activity. We are going to celebrate the first legal
hakka radio station in the world, once the target reached. I also would
like to share the  pleasant of celebration with HGN members.
In Taiwan, there are about 10 companies undergone vedio production and
about 6 companies constantly produce hakka songs. By end of year, there
are more than 6 CD's being produced and could be bought at the market.
at To, Tzu, Meu (To-Yuen, Sin-Tzu,Meu-Lid), there are about 10 cable TV
available locally. The Hakka recovery is much better what we did last
year. We do  not have right to be sad at the moment, we have to dedicate
fully and spend more time to promote hakkas language to Mass
transit,buses,trains,air plane etc in Taiwan. Now, Eva Air (Tzong-Zung
hong kung) has implemented to broadcast hakka language at their air
craft as well as Manderin,English,Holo's. If you have chance to take
flight on Eva Air, you should hear hakkas on the plane.
Eva Air also being donated 2 millions ntd to po do hakka radio station.
It is a big hand for us.
