Dear Dr Low,

The 3rd international conference on the Hakka Dialect (ICHD3) will be held
in Jinggangshan or Ganzhou in Jiangxi in August 1998. The exact location
will be announced in a few months' time. 

The ICHD3 now invite scholars to present their paper on the Hakka Dialects.
News and views on any topic of linguistics of Hakka are especially welcome. 

For those who are interested and do not hold a PRC passport, visa are
necessary. To facilitate the application of permit for the conference by the
Jiangxi provincial government, please give me your passport numbers as soon
as possible, (Mr. C. F. Lau, Dept. of CBS, Hong Kong Polytechnic University,

Late reply may jeopardize your application or access to Jiangxi.
