Dear Fellow Hakkas:
Beyond the discussion of Hakka culture of the past, I would like to
see more discussion on how fellow Hakkas can help each other. I
cannot speak for Jonathan's mail list, but for the forum I would
encourage everybody to write about their business leads, employment
opportunities, anything that can promote this global community.
As a matter of fact, this website could not have happened without the
link of Hakka fellows. It is a demonstration of how things can work.
Lim KonLiong and Shirley Hsieh have also made good use of the HGN to
gather information, promote a Hakka-related business. This type of
activity should be encouraged. Annoucement of business are weclome in
the forum, to the extent that it does not become a daily advertisement.
On this, I feel some mail lists are too narrow minded to bar out
announcement with a slight orientation of commeercial value.
By working more with each other, we can find commonalities, cooperation and
identiy.
Well, let me start. This website "Asiawind" an "Biz888" started through a
Hakka connection, and is run by Hakka fellows (but we welcome non-Hakkas to
work with us too). We would like to host website and webpages for businesses
and organizations with an interest or relationship with Asia. Biz888 is
totally for business. Doesn't have to do with Asia at all. If you or your
friends are looking to installing a website, we can help. We want to use
these websites to build some bridges between the East and the West, that is
the motto and goal. Much about our site can be seen if you browse around. We
have excellent technical assistance. A good sample to see how information can
be delivered through the web is the Hong Kong Stocks Report service. We can
help you build such a site for your specific information too. To really see
how complicated information data base can work on the web, you might need to
sign up for a free 2-week trial and access the member area. You don't
have to be interested in HK stocks at all. From the forum, you can go to
the "Home" page to find out more about this site.
