I am still looking for a economic way to put sound files in the net. The way I do it
now is avoiding the 7 bits/8 bits problem of text file transmission. and The .wav
file can be played on a US$20.00 cheap sound card. I have to gzip it, otherwise
the file will be too big. However, after uuencoded it, the zipped file actually
expanded a little bit.

I am suggesting our netter try to install a "free" 30 days try of uwcjkstd.exe that can
read
a number of Chinese codes properly in Windows 3.11, especially the two Chinese codes
I use most, that is the GB from Mainland China and Big5 from Taiwan. You can even print
what you see on the screen to a laser printer.
You can keep on "free" trying it for 30 days, util they are not promoting it.
Re-installation is easy. This is the beauty of it.
