Dear Jon:
I believe in one of reference of Clyde Kiang's book about Hakka
might have something about the war between Punti and Hakka. It
was written in English.  If I remember it correctly the author is
Eitel. The article is about the history of Hakka.  I don't have
the book at hand right now.  Mr. Kiang may be able to help you.
I also remember read something in Lo Siang-lin's book and article
"The origin of Hakka".  He wrote a book and published in 1933 and
then updated a little more information in another article and
published in Hong Kong in 1952.  I believe he mentioned the war
between Punti and Hakka in Kai-ping. You may find some reference
in that book and article.  There are quite few references in
them.
