It is true that all historical records are to some extent not accurate.
Again, I dont' think tracing blood-relationship, family tree isthe only
way to determine a culture.

There are many ethnic groups (zu) in Sichuan, Yunnan and Guangdong. Many of
these ethnic groups also speak very different languages. The Dai tribe speak
a language like Thai. And there are Koreans and Mongolians in Zhonghua Minzu
too. That does not mean that Korea, Thailand, or Mongolia belong to China.
Zhonghua Minzu is an inclusive term, including all 56 of them (Ami,
Gaoshan...too). There are obviously Sichuan culture, Guangdong culture, Hunan
culture, each has its own taste and flavor. However, there is no such thing
as Sichuan Minzu, Guangdong Minzu, Yunnan Minzu. What is the definition of
Taiwan Minzu?

I think we need to really look at the history of China, Han, Zhonghua
Minzu in a long term perspective. If one is looking for independence of
INDIGENOUS people and try to find an argument, one always fall in
his/her own trap. How far back should we go?
