I also wonder why?

The China Hakk called it 'ban', The south-east Asia Hakk call it 'fun'.
'lo ped ban' is same as 'lo bak gow' in Cantonese
'Tiam ban' is same as 'nin gow' in Cantonese, so as 'nien gau' in Mandarin
'mee gau ban' is same as ' wun zai gow' in Cantonese

'ju chong fun' is not noodle, why it is not called 'ju chong' roll. eg. 'egg roll'

Isn't that interesting!
