It is said that the ancient bible contains all the prophecies that we experience today. How so?
To understand the bible, one has to understand how it was first written.
According to my understanding the old Hebrew writing has no vowels. A Jewish friend also confirms this. Thus, god's name Yehowah, Yaweh.... was represented by YHWH.
There is no punctuation in Hebrew Writing either.
For those interested, the following very lengthy articles are hard to read. Just get some idea of how ambiguous the language could be structurally.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hebrew_alphabet
This ancient language has evolved and changed many times. The Dead Sea scrolls show a lot of missing pieces and uninterpretable pieces.
"It is now becoming increasingly clear that the Old Testament scripture was extremely fluid until its canonization around 100 A.D."
"Fluid" is another word for ambiguous, up to interpretation.
Take any page of a book, piece all the alphabets together, leaving out all the vowels. Then draw lines up or down, left to right or right to left, or diagonally, and guess the meaning of the writing. You will certainly find EVERYTHING is covered, because you can make up for what is missing.
The Da Vinci Code, or prophecies are merely INTERPRETATION of the words written.
The Dead Sea Scrolls were written probably 200 BC. We don't know any older writings. To date, the Dead Sea Scrolls are still not completed understood or interpretable since they were found more than 50 years ago.
Confucius (551-479 BC) has written many books by then, and all are still readable today, without much interpretation.
Li Er (Li Dan, Laozi) was older than Confucius. His Dao De Jing is very readable.
The wisdom in the writings of Confucius and Laozi is just as good if not more in depth, and certainly easier to understand with much less ambiguity.
If god did create (write) the bible and everything else, he would have written the thoughts of Confucius and Laozi too. So, why read just one book?
