Ethnologically, the Sinites migrated eastward into Western China, from there they continued to push eastward and toward the north over the land bridge into Alaska. The Sinites are the people who settled the Americas in prehistoric days and became the mongoloid ancestors of the Eskimos and American Indians.
(Bible reference: Genesis 10:25) And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg; for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother's name was Joktan(associated with Arabia).
Peleg was a great-great-grandson of Shem. Peleg in Hebrew means "Division", but in Greek it means "sea". The english word archipelago(archi-pelagos)means, the first sea. A comment is made about Peleg, "in his days the earth was divided". This comment is suggestive of a link to the scientific theory of continental drift, where the earth's land mass drifted apart to their present location, with America and Australia located where they are today.
When we speak of America and Australia, are we speaking of the nation today or as of yesteryears? Since its earliest days, the earliest inhabitants of both the land were of Hamitic descent, the coloured people who were greatly adaptive to primitive conditions. Later on, these lands were occupied by Japhetic(Aryan) nations.
If we talk of the physical land mass(of America, Australia), the bible says, the earth was divided during the days of Peleg. If we speak of the land's recent inhabitants (western nations), we need more background information.
The book of Daniel, in the bible gives us descriptions of the major kingdoms on earth.
"And there shall be a fourth kingdom, strong as iron, because iron breaks to pieces and shatters all things; and like iron which crushes, it shall break and crush all these." (Daniel 2:40 RSV). Biblically, this is a symbolic description of the Roman empire.
One characteristics of the Roman Empire was its dominating passion to rule the world. And they also had the power to achieve it and to continue that rule. In its days, the Roman empire dominated every kingdom known to the Western world. The Roman government was marked by a passion to establish colonies and then to defend these colonies by military power. This characteristic of Rome has continued throughout the history of the West. The Western nations have reached to the uttermost parts of the earth and have been colonizing nations. And thus Rome stamped its image upon the entire Western world, and its influence still continues throughout the world to this present day. e.g. The calendar the international community uses today is the Roman Calendar.
The "Law" adopted in most countries is based on Roman law. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Civil_law_(legal_system)
To conclued this brief summarization, if America and Australia are considered to be western nations today, biblically, they are a continuation of the Roman Empire, whoes effect is widespread and lingering. So America and Australia would fall under under this banner of the Japhetic/Aryan nation. In time past, it was originally inhabitated by the Hamitic family group. Biblically, I do not think there are specific names for America and Australia, but today, they fall under the Roman banner. And, Roman empire is not confined to the country of Rome, under it falls the western nations and their colonies.
