I try to keep my examples simple. Maybe my examples are too simple sometimes.

The views I expressed above are not just mine, but have been relayed to me by many non-chinese who are not a part of the Chinese community.

Until fairly recently, China was considered to be a closed culture. (See Richard Nixon). We have a lot to learn about each other. America had race riots. Why? China had Tennemen Square. Why? I thought the problem was restricted to Tennemen Square. I learned much more later. We non-Chinese have a lot to catch up on, and understand about Chinese history and culture.

Many things have shaped our languages, ideas, cultures, and familys. Many things I saw when I would visit China did not translate well for Americans who did not understand the history.

Many countries have Public Relations experts to give the world the best view of their home country as possible. America is no different in this respect.

When I was making plans for my first trip to China, some non-chinese warned me about horrible things that could happen to me while in China. Nothing bad happened.
On some of my trips to China, I saw unrealistically wonderful views of America on television that surprised me.

Modern American television is showing more about the real China, and not so much of the unrealistic views that we had before.

Back to the original topic. Many men are confused, and elated with their inter-cultural relationships. Just read the posts here. I am trying to help Amercan's, and Britons understand that Chinese are human also.
