 Mad men and bitumen

"drinking binge"? I haven't even started yet pretty Suen. Sure, my sarcasm is your truth. It don't matter to me. It's all good in the end. You have heard of self-made millionaires. What do you know about self-made mad men? Yesterday I got a bunch of keys in the mail. None of them matched what I needed to open. Lead paint, $180 oil, Iran, mutant frogs, dude it's all crazy. But crazy can be good. It gives one power. Unimaginable power. I must remember to rein myself in at my child's school function tonight. The wife will keep me in line, that is if she isn't too busy being crazy herself. I think reincarnation is for dummies. Trinity is really three toilet plungers. The Buddha should've entered nirvana at 30. Lao Zi is a nice brand of men's underwear. Would be grand to go out in a trail of mad light, I thought but I was only 24. Now old and cowering, I got my hands dirtied by the keys. When I feared death, it was demon king. Now I no longer fear it, it has become an adviser, nay, a kitten. 'What and why and where' they politely inquired when they should have been singing in a falsetto like in a Kenji Kawai songs. Madness ain't all bad. It is a repellent against all that which causes us to toe the line, speak in whispers and hold hands in thunderstorm. Child you must respect authorities, I lied, hiding my true sentiment. My boy is taller than me now. Smarter than me too in many ways. He gets impatient with me when I become distracted in his parade of facts and inventions. When I listen, I don't really listen but instead I look at his face, my son speaking, constructing his universe from the ground up, and not too long ago he was 15 pounds and walking naked in the house. What happened between then and now, between when he was a babe and now a youth with a deep voice? The baby must have flown. Baby with wings. Small magic. The magic in the small. And I would have missed it all had I not acquired the sight to stare at oncoming trains. Thank god for railroads.
