Conservative endeavors:
Chinese are also known for making the best of evrything, phil. Meaning: Why let all that money be spent on a single object and a single object only when it can all be had in one shot. Again, my opinion only of course.
In any cases, and if I have a say in it, here's what my crew would look:
A taikonaut (military R&D related), a physicist (various scientific researches), and, an astronomer (astronomy so as to put our team on the same league as those enjoyed by for examples... the hubble team).
There's risk any which way the ball bounces, so why be concerned about it is my mentality? I bet taikonaut(s) themselves would prefer some company on the mission if for no other reason, then as someone to share the joy and excitment of the achievement is nmore than sufficient for such a need and wish.
Yes, I can also appreciate it that the initial mission will probably have two taikonaut on it. But, the cost is the same one taikonaut or a full crew. I am an optimist, phil! I am also a two bird with one stone sort of guy and, I believe in the getting of the best of results for my money. But still and as always -- I miss somehow!!!
Space walk: Well... maybe we are a bit ahead of ourselves on this one. But, my position is that it would not be the first time that man has ever walked in space. The excursion has been proven safe proposition. Space walk is a piece of cake these days and, if the SZ-V is provided for with docking facilities as reported, then it means that it features in's and out previlages.
An old Chinese saying that applies appropriately to this situation, phil:
"A boat, naturally, will align itself with the wharf once it's made berth."
I think this boat is called "desire". And, this wharf is named "commitment", and, when these two collides or are fused together with each other -- then, nothing is impossible...
