Hi Aman Ah Ban,
Prof Dr T Jacob MS MD is the most respected Paleoanthropologistarchaeologistpundit in Indonesia and I have posted in the past about his perceptions on the Hobbits in this forum.
He is not personally involved with the 2004 Liang Bua astonishing find.
The 2004 first skull was discovered by 2 Indonesian Archaeologists (it just happens that the Australians parties were on holiday back in Australia at that pivotal, momentous time, no doubt pining for their XXXX ...).
The Indonesian Archaelogists did all the right things to lift/preserve carefully their find.
This extraordinary cave was first explored in the 1950s by a Dutch priest/anthropologist, Theodore Verhouven, who hardly found anything worthwhile.
Between 1976 - 1989, a team from Jakarta National Archaeologic Museum carried out digging and found fosilised ancient tools.
The Indonesian and Australian Archaeologists resumed digging in 2000s, and the 2 Indonesian Archaeologists: Thomas Sutikno and the other name which has just escaped me at the moment, found the first Hobbit. In the absence of the Australians.
The Australians took the fame and glory when they announced to the world about the Flores Hobbits, controversialy without first consulting their Indonesian friends --> (or now not so or non friends.)
Prof Dr Jacob, as the no 1 pundit in this field in Indonesia then took charge, and after some investigation he declared that the Hobbits were modern Australomelanozid Homo Sapiens Sapiens suffering from microcephalic condition. He even went to Flores to do a documentary, meeting some (alive) Flores folks, although I believe his pilgrimage has been interpreted differently from what he tried to prove or disprove, by the Australians and others.
I am not in this field of studies, but am a romantic and wish that the Hobbits are real Hobbits from the Middle Earth and that they have at least Orang Utan colouring. Indonesia fauna and flora and ecosystem are so bursting with explosion of intense and iridiscent colouring, it's so silly not to paint the Hobbits blond or red like Orang Utan or even green like the Hulk or yellow like gold at Grasberg (or no longer at Grasberg).
Did you say you meet Prof Jacob? Not in Aceh, which is closer to you? He is from Aceh.

Prof Teuku Jacob has for a long time, a professor at UGM Central Java, and is based at UGM.
There are some paradoxes in my view. Some Indonesians/Asians do not like the idea of different/multi origin of species (your different Adams) fearing that different silly traits (say, the tiny, shy Hobbits, compared to the bold, giant, agressive Neanderthals) descend to the modern descendants, and that they will somehow disadvantage them.
At the same time perhaps, the idea of a single origin of species (Out of Africa), although global uniting (every modern homo sapiens sapiens, us all, are descended from 1 East African Eve), is still too much to swallow.
So, that leaves us you, Abdullah Bandar: that, it is all Allah's will alone, that we are what we are...
