借問酒家何處有,--Jie4 wen4 jiu3 jia he2 chu3 you3,
牧童遙指杏花村.---Mu4 tong2 yao2 zhi3 Xinghuacun.

清明的時候, 下起雨來, 總是連綿不絕的;
It was continuously raining on the day of Qingming Festival.
路上來去的人, 見了這般的天色, 衣服沾顯, 興趣全無, 神魂散亂哩;
Looking at the weather the pedestrians looked sad as their clothes were
all wet,
便向路旁借問一聲, 賣酒的人家在那裏, 想休息一會.
Wanting to rest for awhile, I asked where was the wine shop.
恰巧有個看牛孩子, 伸手遠遠的一指, 分明是在前面杏花村裏呢.
By chance a shepherd boy replied me by pointing to the faraway village of
Xinghua[1].
