Re: Neither sky nor sea the limit

Dear Tin-Kay,

In Chinese filial piety:

人人都可孝父母,---Ren2 ren2 du ke3 xiao4 fu4 mu,
孝敬父母如敬天.---Xiao4 jing4 fu4 mu3 ru2 jing4 tian.

Everyone is capable of being filial to his parents,
Being filial to parents is the same as worshipping Heaven.

I was surprised that Liang cursed his parents for giving birth to him as a Chinese. This is too much as he has regretted himself for his whole life for being a Chinese.

In the Xi You Ji classic novel Pigsy made a mistake for entering in a Mother Pig's stomach and was born as a Pig. He did not curse his mother but himself for being half drunk and entered a wrong stomach and came out as a Pig.

When Jade Emperor, in Heaven, told him to go down to earth to help the monk Tang San Zang to go to India to obtain the Buddhist Script. I think he was a bit tipsy that day by entered the Mother Pig's stomach and that was how Pigsy became a Pig.

But this Wang Ben (忘本) was in his mother stomach for at least 9 months before he was born as a Chinese. Now he curses his mother until the end of his life.

為人若是不知孝,---Wei2 ren2 ruo4 bu4 zhi xiao4,
不如禽獸實可憐.---Bu4 ru2 qin2 shou4 shi4 ke3 lian2.

If a person has no sense of filial piety,
He is truly pathetic and inferior to animals.
