 Tao and Jesus

"The Tao is dead!"

If you went up to the Chinese and said "Tao is dead", no one would shed a tear. Some would even be amused. And what is Tao anyway if not me and you and everybody and everything? How can it be dead when we are plainly alive.

"Jesus is alive!"

Now if you went up to the Christians and said "Jesus is dead", you will likely have a fight on your hands.

Jesus is in a way a promise of "out there", everlasting life and the like.

Tao is, for all its inherent glory, right here and now.

Or put it another way, God is supernatural. Tao is natural.

Our friend here confuses God and Tao because he has not yet grasped that fundamental difference.
