Only if you have the desire to do better,
You wouldn't be afraid of people looking down upon you.

A good son will not become a soldier.
Good iron will not be made into a nail,

不是肥土不栽薑.---Bu4 shi4 fei2 tu3 bu4 zai jiang.
Unless you are a brave man, don't leave your village.
