Anti-Locusts campaign in Singapore and HK

Any thoughts about the anti-locusts campaign in Singapore and HK?

My family is spread out between Malaysia and Singapore. My wife is from HK.

The last few years I have been taking her HK anti-locusts 'nagging' with a pinch of salt.

Recently my siblings in Singapore are doing the same thing!

What is going on? Here I am, campaigning for the Chinese Three Pillars of Society and defending it!

I will not bother to take up my wife's tirade about the locusts in HK; it will take a book to write!

However I have this to say about locusts in Singapore and Malaysia who cannot appreciate the curry smell, who look down on the dark colour of Indians and Malays and refuse to learn Bahasa and English, refuse to be cosmopolitan and neighbourly, refuse to queue up, do not stand up in the bus and give your seat to the elderly, drive Ferraris [and killing innocent people] and strut around Singapore in fancy clothes when in the 'Hawaii' like climate you should go troppo and be T-shirt, sandals and be humbly 'free'! In jungleland we are all equal because the jungle is neutral! The tropic is a great equalizer in this sense. All are equally affected by the torrid heat and humidity. The other thing about growing up in the jungle is that you learn to blend in rather than to stand out. We grew up where you could not tell whether someone was a millionaire or a beggar in his ‘thongs’! Millionaires with their Mercedes still at roadside hawker stalls and sat on stools eating with the rats wandering past!

[1] The Singapore Government should ban the use of Simplified Mandarin [2] Locusts should pass both an English and a Bahasa test to get permanent residency [3] We should return to our original dialectic Chinese culture of Hokkien, Hakka, Cantonese, Chiuchow, Hainanese, for that is what we are! [4] Any locust found to offend our multicultural cosmopolitan culture should be deported immediately.

We are Huaren but we are traditional Chinese who remember our forefathers, remember our ancient history, culture and the Three Pillars of Society. What are these locusts who we thought are Chinese but turn out to be totally ignorant of the Three Pillars of Society but only know the corrupt depravity of capitalism [surprising! when they are supposed to be egalitarian communists!]. Locusts go home but you can come back when you are true children of the Tao! You should be ashamed to call yourself Chinese when you are more like uneducated Western dogs! No matter what you drive, what you clothes or shoes you wear and handbag you carry, when you open your mouth and show off your ‘geisha’ like cosmetics, you look like a country bumpkin in banana skin, in your Western depravity and idolisation! If that is what capitalism has done to you maybe it is time for another cultural revolution. You are worse than locusts, you are cadaver worms. We Huáqiáo grew up under colonial rule but we never lost our traditional Chinese values; we never surrendered to the depravity and corruption of the ‘gweilos’. You locusts are rotten like the ‘gweilos’!
