Lea, good to know you are an objective person, much unlike Chow Chow. In regards to your parents being Buddhists and you being Christian, may I advise that you respect their wishes as long as they do not force you to change your religion. Burning joss sticks in memory of your ancestors will please them, and this is appropriate, despite what advice being given to the contrary. As Cheok has advised, respect your parents. Your Christian God would be pleased that you make your parents happy. Religious views are interpreted differently by different theologians. Be true to your conscience and follow your heart and not some priest's or pastor's advice. Are you in UK now?
