歸雁 The return of the wild geese
瀟湘何事等閒回!---Xiao Xiang [*1A] he2 shi4 deng3 xian2 hui2,
水碧沙明兩岸苔.---Shui3 bi4 sha ming2 liang3 an4 tai2.
二十五弦彈夜月,---Er4 shi2 wu3 xian2 dan4 ye4 yue4,
不勝清怨卻飛來.---Bu4 sheng4 qing yuan4 que4 fei lai2

The explanations in plain Chinese and English.
(1) 瀟湘一帶景色是那麼清麗!
The scenery in the region of Xiao and Xiang Rivers is beautiful!
(2) 看那河水多麼碧綠, 沙灘多麼明淨, 兩岸還有深密的青苔呢!
Look at the dark green water and the bright and clear sandy beaches with
green mosses growing on the banks of the two rivers.
(3) 但是, 雁啊! 你為什麼一飛到這美麗的地方, 又立刻無端端地要飛回北方?
However, oh geese! Why, without any reasons, you all have to fly back to
the north as soon as you arrive at this beautiful place?.
(4) 我想, 一定是那湘水之神在夜月下彈瑟 [*2B], 你忍不住瑟聲中流出的哀怨,
因此就只好飛回北地了.
I think, the reason behind this is that you all cannot stand the sad music
of the zither played by the god of Xiang River under the moon.
Note:
[*1A] 瀟湘 (Xiao Xiang)
The confluence of the Xiao River and the Xiang River is in the county of
Lengling (零陵縣 in Hunan province 湖南省). The name of the two river flowing
together is called Xiaoxiang (瀟湘)[ Mao Zedong's region].
[*2B] 瑟 (se)
A se is a twenty-five-stringed plucked instrument, somewhat similar to the
zither, which is a musical instrument with many strings on a box-like body,
played by plucking with a plectrum and the fingers.
