May I attempt to give my understanding of the terms. I stand to be corrected.

中国人: Chinese born in China; of Chinese citizenship.

唐人: General term used by Chinese outside of China. People of Tang Shan 唐山. Proud of Tang dynasty; the world leader at its time.

华僑: Chinese diaspora; overseas Chinese who has Chinese citizenship but temporarily residing in a foreign country.

华裔: Person of Chinese descent; born outside China with citizenship of other than Chinese.

华人: General term for any Chinese. Any of the above.
