Hmm.... this demands leadership from Beijing. Will they be able to provide it? Beijing is the absolute dominant player here, it should not be afraid to sit down with them. Again the lack of leadership here from China is sorely apparent. Sticking to the mantra of talking only one to one isn't working. Be wary of backing a dog (a small country) into a corner.

Of course China is far from the only "greedy" country here. Vietnam wants half of the same sea. Even toothless Philippines wants close to a half. See maps:

It's ok. It is human nature to grab. But no one must insist on being completely stupid. Sit down and settle this, for heaven's sake.
