china is lucky to have figureheads like hu and now Xi. the course is already charted and set they need a person to hold the helm steady. Xi will be leader for 10 years and during his tenure china's GDP should double of what it is today. if thats not contribution to china's rise then i dont really know what is.
we cannot expect any leaders like mao or deng anymore those times are past. what we have now is a collective leadership of very professional men at the top of the CCC who are well versed in economic development. chinese leaders today are more like general managers of the company. yes they look like boring technocrats but china is lucky to have them.
