Any soldier should fight his/her country. Kuomintang or the Communist were both revolutionary armies formed to kick out the very much corrupted and weak Qing dynasty and kick out the evil colonial westerners+Japs.
The KMT became corrupted under bald-head Chiang and got driven out from the mainland to Taiwan island where they have been ever since. Its the duty of any soldier be him KMT or mainland PLA to unify and defend the unity of the mother land......or else the people should not allow them to be in charge.
