Indeed, Kwang, on account of my in depth R/D in the area of cross cultural psychology and education -- purely from the educational perspective -- in all my analysis is to re-assert the Chinese of our love and passion toward the Education of Wisdom, or as in philosophy -- lovers of life --- Not until we can re-emphasize the richness of our culture -- by all means, in loving life alone does not reduce our engagement with global intelligence -- however, in the human mind, we have the duo tracks of seeking knowledge, and knowledge is awareness -- yes, we can be aware of the competing edge and also the ostracizing edge in the use of "intelligence", as in the case of gun powder -- it can destroy but also, it can be entertained ---- and thus, the Chinese emphasis of the other side of the human brain -- We do have the duo tracks - Cognition (intelligence) and Affection (wisdom, soul, heart) and while Intelligence has its both negative and good side -- the scientific side of medicine, healing .. Where from the affective side, there are no such harm -- Thus, the values given to us all , be that Confucian values (amongst the one hundreds school of his time ..) Dao and Laozi had also flourished and before that, the enormous richness of Yi-Jing -- by me, the most astute observation of the natural phenomenon by any race, and by its own systematic way to do not prediction, but to safe guard our "ambition" with fair warnings --- and later, the compassion of Buddhist values -- . The Western "Affective based" education has been somewhat kidnapped by the various religious orders -- based more on fear and threat -- or the promise of the next life --- On that note, much of the natural, present day soul/heart/ issues of the AFFECTIVE mind has been neglected --
However, I think we have both the challenge and the solution on hand for the future --
I have developed a system of communication based on most of the non verbal values and it is very Chinese . We have to recognize the value of the Affective Education , and the other way of thinking in being a good human, a complete human -- embracing both cognitive/intelligence and also affective/wisdom side of us -- Case in point, one of the neo-Confucian philosopher like Wang Yang Ming -- or the renewal of his studies -- as a Chinese cultural renaissance -- will show not only the Chinese but the world - of a now revision of the duo track education -- by embracing the Affective Domain of our brain -- It will make us all more efficient -- and by the sound exercise human conscience -- the ultimate integrator of the this duo mental faculties of us -- Human -- and this will be the ultimate peace factor that is both economically efficient and viable -- The world 's land and territory can no longer be grabbed or conquered by force, maybe only by market forces -- and market forces today , by the transparency of the Internet, on its own -- can be the best deterrent for abuse or to go against the former predator prey behavior of the early colonialists , the deceptive practice of the usury banks or the present day Bang Gangsters and their puppets -- of government, congress or parliament -- they will be all collective exposed and despised -- by the sheer force of the exposure to be brought on by the open source, crowdsource and with Cloud Based recording to show the wrongs and the rights of many -- with full documentation -- I am optimistic .
