[is it sufficient to build a whole case out of it?]--I think there are sufficiently enough evidence, even there is only one found. Because you are talking about a very small object, the size of a coin, it will be unlikely to be found elsewhere again, am sure there are a few more burried in the landfield somewhere, even if you have a metal detector, if it's in very deep soil then you won't find it, and you have to look for it at the right place otherwise you will be waisting your time, but I don't dicourage anyone looking for it though. After he found it, Mr. Shinnick had disregarded it, almost lost it, and he is a coin collector! Yes to find one is rare, to find a second one is even rarer but not impossible(if that's what you have in mind then go look for it.) But to me to find one is very fortunate and with other related evidences that Dr. Lee has discovered, it will be enough to build a strong case.
I suspect that more than half of Zheng He's fleet, 150 ships or so, probably had perished at sea or near sea shores some where, yet you can't find them, but I bet if people start looking real hard they mind find one or two old wrecks. There are things that get washed up the shores some times but who is really paying attention to it?
