I think the period when China knew she is in the middle of the world can help determine when chinese fleet had actually surveyed the world . In other word, how did china knew she is in the middle world without first circumnavigating the world?
can anyone find out any historical context when china or chinese claimed china is in the middle of the world , that is middle literally on the map or world map as we now know it. Any historic text or ancient writing saying china is the middle of the world? i.e. "middle kingdom," when did that term or wordings first appeared?
did the term middle kingdom appeared before or after the San Hai Jin?
in Tang dynasty or Yuan/Ming dynasty? anyone?
