Matteo Ricci's 1602 map now removed from the Internet

Tohoku University : http://www2.library.tohoku.ac.jp/kano/mado/konyo_MADO.html Wikipedia : http://zh.wikipedia.org/zh-tw/File:Kunyu_Wanguo_Quantu_%28%E5%9D%A4%E8%BC%BF%E8%90%AC%E5%9C%8B%E5%85%A8%E5%9C%96%29.jpg The detailed map cannot be opened any more. A Chinese site that has duplicated the Tohoku map: http://cmsdy.godeyes.cn/showtopic.aspx?forumid=301&topicid=210949&go=prev Library of Congress does not post the scanned map. The only way to see it is at U Minnesota. One might have to ask why. -------------- SL Lee
