Last month, I went to Dongguan county to trace my ancestral root in a village named Kuanjingtou. With limited information our van driver that we hired managed to lead us to a town called Fenggang where we saw the direction to my ancestral village. By asking a few people there we got to meet up with my granduncle's grand-daughter and her children.
Do you intend to visit your ancestral village in Moi Yan? If you have no idea where it is, maybe I can ask my friend's cousin brother in Chapi village, Meixian (Moiyan) whether he knows your ancestral village.
In fact, my friend met his cousin brother unintentionally 2 years ago when he and his wife took a tour round Chapi village which he knew is his ancestral village. Last month we also followed my friend to Chapi village before going to Dongguan.
