Chen Tao
is a virtuoso performer of wind instruments such as bamboo flute, xun, bawu, koudi, chiba. Is the founder and director of the Melody of Dragon, Inc., the artistic director and conductor of the Chinese Music Ensemble of New York.Was an Associate Professor at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing
He has collaborated with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, The Orchestra National de Lyon, The National Symphony Orchestra of Portugal, Belgium National Flemish Radio Orchestra. Ke Ming is a Pipa virtuoso. Received her Bachelor of Music in Pipa performance at Nanjing Fine Arts College in l982, performed with the Nanjing Philharmonic Orchestra, and taught ten years at her Alma Mater. Won numerous awards for her performances. Appeared as soloist with orchestras including the Cincinnati S ymphony Orchestra, Shanghai Symphony Orchestra,Jiangsu Philharmonic O rchestra, the Nagoya Philharmonic Orchestra. Toured Barcelona,Madrid.
Ke Ming
Karen Hwa-Chee holds a master's degree in Performance Arts from the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing. She is an internationally renowned erhu virtuoso, composer, vocalist. ERHU, also known as Huqing, or Nanhu, dates back to the Tang Dynasty (618-907). The sound box of the two-stringed instrument is covered with python skin. It is played with a bow between the strings.

Qian Yi
Qian Yi entered the Shanghai Chinese Opera School at the age of 11 and has been famous for her interpretations of The Legend of the White Snake and of scenes from The Peony Pavilion. She was awarded in 1995 the title of National Best Young Kunqu Actress by the Chinese Ministry of Culture. As lead actress she has performed in 1999 at New York's Lincoln Center Festival's historic production of The Peony Pavilion and acclaimed by critics. The production toured Paris, Caen, Milan, Berlin, Vienna, Arhus, and Perth, Australia, and Singapore. A recording has been released by RM Associates. Qian Yi has conducted workshops for the Guggenheim Museum, The American Museum of Natural History, The Asian Society and Museum, Columbia University, New York University.

Ma Li reprensents the upcoming young generation's new interpretation of guzheng music. Ms. Ma graduated with honor from the China Conservatory of Music in Beijing and is a Zheng director in Beijing Contemporary Music Institute.GUZHENG dates back to the days of the Warring States period (475-221 B.C.).The instrument's soundboard is made with wutong (firmiana platanifolia) wood. It has 21 steel strings which can be tuned to pentatonic as well as western scale.

Percussion Group
Percussion Group Cincinnati was founded in 1979. Allen Otte, James Culley and Russell Burge are faculty members and ensemble-in-residence at the College-Conservatory of Music of the University of Cincinnati. Their national and International touring schedule have included the major cities, festivals, concert halls and schools of America, Europe and Asia. They also regularly appears as concerto soloists with symphony orchestras, and has presented their program "Music From Scratch" to hundreds of thousands of children across North America.The Percussion Group Cincinnati is particularly respected for its knowledge of and experience with the entire range of the music of John Cage and the Charles Ives Universe Symphony project. Recent performances include the 2001 Shanghai International Spring Music Festival, a tour of Japan, and the premier in Hong Kong of Qu Xiao-song's concerto for the group, "The Stone".The group's work appears on various CDs, including their own ars moderno Label.
